Ironman Arizona spin-down...

It's been almost two weeks since race day. I've had very little training on my schedule. First a full week off (wierd!) and this week and next are pretty light. Did 90 minutes the bike today, which was the most work since race day. Man it's nice to go for an easy ride on a sunny day.

I was really tired most of the first week and that's gotten better. A few small aches and pains have sprung up but I'm mostly in good shape, minus peeling from the sunburn. Ick. I'll run for the first time tomorrow, and I'm looking forward to that. I'm generally looking forward to training again, this has been a good break. Timing has been good though; work has been crazy getting ready for MIX07.

I'm definitely excited about IMC in August. Also looking forward to racing the bike a bit as well. I'm expecting to get crushed since I've done ZERO intensity, but we'll see.

I've spent a bunch of time out in the yard trying to manage the Morning Glory problem. Man, that stuff is nuts. I've been doing a bunch of work to dig up the root network, hoping that will slow it down. It appears to be fairly successful so far, I've got about 1/3 to go still and I'll need to keep on it when I see runners coming up. Damn that morning glory.

Maybe I'll just take a nap.
