Work week

Back in the Fraternity, we had a thing called Work Week. Work Week was just before school started. We'd try to get all the guys to show up a bit early and we had a list of projects that we wanted to get done. We'd divy up the projects and off we went. Turns out you can get a lot done when the labor is free.

Anyway, between work, training, and sleeping, I've always got this nagging feeling that my house is falling apart and that I should be doing this or that. Of course (for the most part), it's not, but the accumulating project-debt bothers me. So I haven't taken any vacation this year, apart from a day here-or-there, so someone suggested I take a week and get some of these projects done. This is that week.

So far I give myself a "C" for Work Week. I haven't fired myself yet, but I'm not getting rave reviews, but I get distracted easily. Here's the list of stuff I want to accomplish, with the completed things crossed out and semi-completed things in italics:

  • Put a bunch of stuff on eBay
  • Organize, clean the "bike shop"
  • Organize my closet
  • Get caught up on laundry and folding
  • Take clothes to Goodwill
  • Sand, paint deck railing
  • Pull some morning glory
  • Clean Garage
  • Replace bottom bracket on the Airborne
  • Finish caulking a side-board I replaced last month
  • Trim trees away from house
  • Take a bunch of stuff to the dump

So it's Thursday and that's as far as I've gotten. I think I can get the garage sorted today and maybe tackle some of the railing. The BB won't take long either so maybe I'm doing better than I thought.

Update (5:32) PM: Ha ha garage, Sucka, you got served!
