So I grew up where it's really nice in the summer but nasty in the winter. I came left in part because of less of that winter nastiness. Snow is neat to look at but 50 and raining is much easier to deal with than -20 with snow drifts everywhere.
In case I didn't remember what nasty winters were like, well, we've had two weeks of it now. It was cold for a week and a half, then it snowed a bunch, then it got warm and melted, breaking trees right and left in the process. So I've been without power for a day and a half. I think it might be back on by now though.
